District Fringe: “BE GOOD!” WITH PAULETTE
DC-born performer and French-trained clown Daniel Maseda brings his debut solo show “BE GOOD!” WITH PAULETTE to the inaugural District Fringe for a two-show engagement, running July 19th (8:45pm) and July 25th (6:15pm).
ABOUT THE SHOW
BE GOOD! follows Paulette, the world’s mildest man, who stumbles into a theater full of the most people he’s ever seen and doesn’t know whether to panic or mingle. Sporting a brown sweater and a hot-off-the-fist black eye, he dares to approach the stage armed with nothing but an arsenal of pleasantries, a pocketful of charm, and a monumental fear of rejection.
A giddy evening of small talk madness, BE GOOD! brings a unique blend of character comedy, improvisation, and audience engagement that can’t help but be different every night. This celebration of the warped bliss of civility has something for anyone who is—or just wants to scream at—a polite person.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
Daniel Maseda (he/him) is a comic performer from Washington, DC and a graduate of French clown school École Philippe Gaulier. His work has brought him to venues on both sides of the Atlantic, including in London, Edinburgh, Paris, New York City, and Philadelphia, and he premiered END OF THE WORLD CABARET (created with Bonjour Group, ★★★★ – Derek Awards) at the 2024 Edinburgh Festival Fringe.

At a time when the arts community is under direct threat from the current administration, we unapologetically stand for diversity, equity, and inclusion as we work to create an open, egalitarian space for artists to produce work that challenges, entertains, and inspires. District Fringe was founded by the artistic leaders of Pinky Swear Productions, Theatre Prometheus & Nu Sass Productions.
