Diwali, A Celebration of Community and Liberation

Cedar Lane Unitarian Universalist Congregation and Hindus for Human Rights invite you to a vibrant community celebration Saturday, October 25, 5:00-8:00 pm (doors open at 4:30 pm).
Enjoy an evening of music, dance, sparklers, storytelling, delicious food, and local vendors as we honor Diwali, Bandi Chhor Divas, Kali Puja, and Tihar.
Each festival carries its own rich meaning: Diwali, the Hindu festival of lights; Bandi Chhor Divas, a Sikh celebration of liberation; Kali Puja, honoring the goddess Kali in Bengal; and Tihar, Nepal’s festival of family, animals, and community.
Hosted by Hindus for Human Rights and Cedar Lane UU Congregation
Suggested donation: $10 to help cover food costs – everyone is welcome, and no one will be turned away.
