Exhibit Opening – “Jaguar Moon” & “My Tiny Castles”
In this exhibit, explore the works of two D.C. artists who, though drawing inspiration from different sources and working in different media, both celebrate the magic and splendor of our worlds. In his paintings and prints in “Jaguar Moon,” “Brocha” Mariano Arrien-Gomez shares some of the wonder he experienced while living in Bolivia, one of the most bio-diverse places on earth. And in her miniature sculptural collages in “My Tiny Castles,” Lea Barcus invites viewers to delight in imaginative play and to find beauty and meaning in the overlooked and discarded.
Guild51 partners with generous D.C. businesses to host exhibits of works by D.C. area artists in office spaces during weekends and after hours. For this current exhibit, Guild51 and the artists remain grateful to Dr. Seth Rosenblatt and Shane Mayson of Vive Treatment Centers for opening their Dupont Circle space to us.
