GC Myers is returning for his 20th solo exhibition! Myers is one of our longest represented artists, he began showing with us in 1997 and has remained a gallery staple.
GC Myers is a self-taught contemporary artist living in the Finger Lakes region of New York. He was led to painting in mid-life through an unexpected set of circumstances. He fell off the roof of his home during a renovation, his injuries were extremely serious and he was hospitalized. During his recovery Gary became anxious, he has a very active imagination so he began experimenting with paint and quickly became obsessed. Ever since, he has been painting full-time and exhibiting his work throughout the east coast.
Myers work is vividly colorful, filled with evocative line and texture, his paintings transform landscapes into a subject that is highly emotional and contemplative.
