Calling all budding architects: Let’s build! Build Day is an all-ages family program, ideal for ages 12 and under. Elementary school artists will be featured. Join Hirshhorn Kids, District of Columbia Public Schools (DCPS) Arts, and Boolean Girl for a hands-on exploration of design and building.
Find us on the Hirshhorn Plaza. In the event of inclement weather, this event will move indoors.

Make an LED sculpture inspired by Olafur Eliasson: Create a suspended sculpture from paper, string, LEDs and other materials with Boolean Girl.
Explore student-made 3D-printed building replicas with George Washington University’s Fab Lab.
Take a cue from Alexander Calder: Construct 3D structures from blocks, bricks, and more, at our hands-on maker stations.
