The exciting NCE 2024-25 Season opens with music of Hungary’s famous composers: Bela Bartok, Ernst von Dohnanyi, Franz Liszt and more. A great way to experience music of Hungary and get a taste of their culture.
Guest host for this performance will be US State Dept Acting Director, Foreign Service Board of Examiners Yolanda Kerney.
Highlights of the program include Bela Bartok’s Folk Songs, Dohnanyi’s virtuosic Ruralia Hungarica for violin and piano, Liszt’s brilliant Hungarian Rhapsody No. 2 and much more.

These Hungarian masterworks infuse the flavor of the old world and folk song with a very distinctive timeless style that has captivated audiences. Hungary’s folk and a distinctive classical style plus the music of other composers who were inspired by it will enchant.
This delightful musical journey will be brought to life by the exceptional talents of Leonid Sushansky (violin), Steven Honigberg (cello), and Carlos Cesar Rodríguez (piano), who have received many accolades as chamber musicians and virtuoso soloists.
