Botanical art is the melding of scientific accuracy and artistic sensitivity. This exhibit offers a look into the contemporary botanical art scene. As Clippinger and Ducore draw inspiration from their gardens and beyond, they strive to capture the delicacy, complexity, and vibrancy found in the plant world. Careful observation of the plant’s botany, color variations, and growth habit are essential. The beauty and nature of each botanical subject are reflected in these plant portraits using watercolor, colored pencil, and graphite.
Held June 1 to 30, 2018 on Monday through Saturday, 10am – 6pm. An Art Walk & Opening Reception will be held
