Lafayette in Washington, 1824-25

Tudor Place Executive Director, Mark Hudson, shares insights into the Marquis de Lafayette’s visits to Washington in 1824 and 1825, including stops at Tudor Place. Through contemporary accounts of his visits, we learn how the Federal City greeted their hero and get a glimpse of life in the city during this period. Free, brown-bag, lunchtime lecture is part of a series at The GWU Museum.
