The Lorton Art Program exhibition and sale, featuring drawings and paintings by current and former residents of DC Department of Corrections facilities, will be held on May 19th, 5pm to 8pm. Founded in 1975, the Lorton Art Program is a non-profit organization that provides creative and rehabilitative education, training in visual arts, and exhibition opportunities to institutionalized individuals. Admission is free. The show will run through June 7 and is available for viewing Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays from 10am-2pm, Wednesday evenings from 5-8pm, and by appointment.
