Saturday, January 6 & Sunday, January 7th 1:00 – 3:00 P.M.
On Saturday, using local tannin rich botanicals Christine will show how to create simple inks. Simmering onion skins, eucalyptus leaves, rose leaves or pomegranate skins. Make your own ink along with instructor or just watch and try later.
On Sunday, Christine will demonstrate making lake pigment for inks, paint or printing inks. This process will be shown in class and the different stages but students will complete on their own.
With signup she will provide a more inclusive list of supplies. But simply having leaves, A 2 qt. stainless steel pan, heat source; you can make begin to explore making inks! The class will be recorded and available for a limited time to review after the workshop.
A pdf. of recipes will supplied at the end of the workshop.
