NCE PUTS THE SPOTLIGHT ON EXTRAORDINARY YOUNG MUSICIANS FOR HOLIDAY CONCERT!
What better way to celebrate the holiday season than with the music of Strauss, Bach, Leroy Anderson and some dazzling young artists?
NCE’s holiday concert will bring classical masterpieces and holiday favorites from the Baroque to the present together on one program for all. The Outstanding Young Artist Achievement Award – string competition winners will make they debut. The Concert concludes with a Carols Sing-Along led by beloved tenor and media personality Patrick D. Mccoy to get everyone in the holiday spirit.
The evening’s repertoire includes Leroy Anderson’s famous “Sleigh Ride”, a Hanukkah Medley, Bach’s masterpiece, the Concerto for Two Violins in D Minor with violinists Leo Sushansky, Jorge Orozco, and much more. The winners of the young artist competition will astound with their virtuosity. A group of students from elementary school to college age will also join the Ensemble in a selection by Antonio Vivaldi. The students come from a variety of leading local organizations, including Maryland Classic Youth Orchestras, American Youth Philharmonic Orchestras, and Levine Music.
