It’s that time of year—put on your dirndl or lederhosen, grab your Dachshund, and head to The Wharf to celebrate Oktoberfest – including the return of the Wiener 500 Dachshund Dash! Join us from 2 to 5 p.m. on Saturday, October 2nd for a day of German-inspired food and fun featuring:
Wiener 500 Dachshund Dash:The 9th Annual Wiener 500 Dachshund Dash for charity – watch the speediest Dachshunds in DC race for fame and fortune on the District Pier track and catch all the action on our 17 foot jumbotron screen. Sign up your Dachshund to race!
German Fare and Stein Hoisting Contest:Visit participating restaurants for German inspired fare, Sam Adam Octoberfest bier and to test your strength in an official stein hoisting contest.
Music on District Pier:Party with DJ Oktoberfest on District Pier and enjoy ice cold Sam Adams Octoberfest beer and more.
Please note, you must be 21+ to participate in the stein hoist. Per DC guidelines you must wear a mask indoors unless eating or drinking.
