Panel Discussion
South Sudan, the world’s newest nation, has been engulfed in political turmoil and ethnic conflict since 2013. With nearly 4 million people displaced, this conflict has created the largest humanitarian crisis in Africa, including famine conditions. The South Sudanese are the fastest growing refugee population in the world.
How do we prioritize and address the myriad of challenges facing South Sudan so we can help its people and protect the viability of this fragile state?
Accompanying this program, the Museum will project larger-than-life images from South Sudan on its exterior walls as part of FotoWeekDC (November 14 – 17, 2017).
Held in conjunction with FotoWeekDC
