protection should not be neglected in an increasingly crowded marketplace

December 1, 2018 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm UTC+0

Free

Come on a Netwalk with Senior Attorney, Jonathan Parthum and learn why Intellectual Property (IP) protection should not be neglected in a crowded marketplace.

IP is one of the most important tools for growing your business during the formation and development of the business.

Seeking IP protection late in the business lifecycle can lead to the loss of IP rights and devaluation of the brand itself. Accordingly, it is important to have some knowledge of the different types of IP and how they can help your business at various stages to ensure you appropriately protect your brand and innovations while also protecting against encroaching competitors. You will hear value stories similar to the one of Dominique Ansell – created the Cronut®, a cream-filled donut-croissant hybrid with the foresight to register the trademark name with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).

You will also get a chance to discover the community by foot, meet like-minded people and get a jump start on your New Years Resolution goal to incorporate more walking into the workday.

vent Schedule

We will walk approximately 1-2 miles with multiple breaks at local Georgetown Restaurants. The walking tour will begin outside the Foggy Botton metro and we will be walking in Georgetown. GLOW Installation starts too!
