The limited run play (October 6-17) is about the Holocaust witness, diplomat, courier, spy, and professor Jan Karski.
The play has deep D.C., and especially Georgetown, roots:
- Karski went to Washington, DC and presented what he had witnessed to the Polish Ambassador in DC, the Secretaries of State and of War, Supreme Court Justices, and even President FDR
- After World War II, Karski earned his PhD at and became a professor at Georgetown University, living the remainder of his life in the District
- Derek Goldman (Prof. at Georgetown) and Clark Young co-wrote the play at the Laboratory for Global Performance and Politics at Georgetown University
