One of Germany’s leading chamber-music groups, the Scharoun Ensemble focuses on bridging the gap between the traditional and the modern, with a repertoire spanning the Baroque era to 20th century and contemporary compositions. Founded in 1983 by members of the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra, the Scharoun Ensemble has been inspiring audiences in Europe and overseas for more than a quarter of a century with innovative programming, a refined tonal culture, and spirited interpretations.
