Slow Art Day Conversation Slow Art Day is an international event encouraging people of all ages to visit community art spaces—virtually or in person—and to look at art slowly. NMWA will help with this process by providing a small selection of art to consider along with slow looking prompts to help you get started. You are encouraged to examine at least five of these works of art for 10 minutes each. You can do this alone, or with loved ones, in the comfort of your home.
Visit this page starting on Friday, March 31, 2023, for selected artworks and slow looking suggestions.
Then join the virtual conversation on Saturday, April 15, 2023, 1 p.m. (ET) to connect with other art lovers, discuss their experience of slow looking, and learn more about the selected artworks. A NMWA educator will facilitate this virtual conversation through Zoom.
