Cultural Interpreters from the National Museum of the American Indian lead a special tour of the exhibition Nation to Nation: Treaties between the United States and American Indian Nations. The tour highlights the untold histories and contemporary experiences of Native American women, from Polly Cooper (Oneida), who cared for George Washington’s soldiers at Valley Forge during the winter of 1777–78, to new U.S. Representatives Sharice Davids (Ho-Chunk) and Deb Haaland (Laguna Pueblo). highlighting the untold histories and contemporary experiences of Native American women.
