Textiles 101 Pop-Up: Mending

Stop by the museum anytime between 12:30 and 4:30 p.m. for a hands-on program inspired by the exhibition Source Material: Lessons in Responsible Fashion. Led by Chesapeake Fibershed, this mini workshop focuses on simple mending techniques to repair your favorite clothes, including darning and patching. Participants are welcome to bring one or two of their own clothing items or use the materials provided. Our Textiles 101 pop-ups continue Saturday afternoons through February 7. Come back each week to learn a different skill or activity, each designed to extend the life of your garments and inspire more mindful fashion choices all year long.
