Build the Pillar Fund:
The Sa’ Vaun Seven Community seeks to provide a realm of support and fellowship to the community. In order to accomplish that The Wong Host wants to open up a community incubator. An establishment that the community can frequent when they want to create, build, grow, and commne with one another. The Build The Pillar Fund will be the catalyst for opening this establishment that will house the Round Table Diner, A Seat @ the Table Podcast/ Radio Show, and The Forum. THe Round Table Diner will be a space where the community can break bread with one another and those that have the culinary gift can buld, and grow their talents adn brand. A Seat @ The Table Podcast/ Radio show will continue to feautre leaders of the community on the show to encourage, empower, and enlighten. The Forum will be the incubator for our brothers and sisters to utilize to host events such as, town hall meetings, community organizing events, pop up shops, and more! The idea is to build up the community by raising up a pillar within it to support, collaborate, and thrive. More information on the “Build The Pillar Fund” coming soon to the website!
More about “Get On The Bus”:
A disparate group of African-American men climb on a bus bound for the Million Man March in Washington, D.C. — among them, Evan Sr. (Thomas Jefferson Byrd) and his son, Smooth (De’aundre Bonds), who have been shackled together as a condition of Smooth’s temporary probation. Although the group begins the trip as strangers, their shared stories and experiences unite them as their discourse builds a portrait of what it means to be black in America.
