Discover how ideas about personal hygiene have evolved through records and artifacts left behind by the Peter family during their 200-year ownership of Tudor Place. Join Tudor Place’s new curator, Rob DeHart in a rousing display and interactive talk on “Sanitary Solutions: Hygiene in the Peter Household”. Artifacts that will be examined include a rare “self-activating portable water closet,” centuries-old toothbrushes and soap, and the “modern” bathroom fixtures purchased by the Peters in 1914.
