WHATVirtual Happy Hour: Black Women Printmakers Join the staff of the National Museum of Women in the Arts (NMWA) for a virtual happy hour to celebrate the work of Black women printmakers. Make a specialty cocktail (or mocktail) in her honor with AJ Johnson, partner and bar director of Serenata, as we learn about the process of printmaking and the works of artists like Elizabeth Catlett, Lorna Simpson and Mickalene Thomas.
This program is associated with the new exhibition Positive Fragmentation: From the Collections of Jordan D. Schnitzer and His Family Foundation, now open at the American University Katzen Arts Center.
