Off the Mall Tours is celebrating Women’s History Month with a walking tour that honors several extraordinary women buried in Congressional Cemetery. Congressional Cemetery was established in 1807, and in the early days of the City of Washington, traditionally served as the burial place for congressmen. In subsequent years, it expanded to include many different notable Washingtonians. From journalists to suffragists, this beautiful burial ground contains some incredible women who left their mark on our nation’s capital. The cemetery is also known for its beautiful collection of cherry blossoms trees. So, for those who wish to avoid the crowds of the Tidal Basin, this is a fantastic opportunity to potentially get their fix of the iconic blooms. Tickets are $30 per person. Tour will last approximately 2 hours, and meets in front of the cemetery gate at 1801 E Street SE
