Join Potomac Riverkeeper Network for this special RiverPalooza 2019 Women on the Water (WOW) Paddle Day to help us stand up for clean water! Enjoy an easy paddle with your Potomac Riverkeeper Network President Nancy Stoner and staff member Emily Franc on this wide and lazy stretch of river which is part of the Potomac Heritage National Scenic Trail. This part of the Potomac River is 8 miles of placid, gently flowing currents from Edwards Ferry all the way down to Seneca Creek Park at Riley’s Lock, making it the perfect introduction for beginner paddlers. Paddlers will also enjoy a beautiful sunset from the river, one of the best times to see wildlife. Edwards Ferry has a large boat ramp that is a popular spot for smallmouth bass fishing, so feel free to bring a fishing pole (but be sure to have your Maryland Fishing license!).
