The Georgetowner Call For Fine Art Photography
We invite artists from around the world to capture the landscapes and distinct environments of our nation’s capital. The winning photograph will be featured on the cover of The Georgetowner’s 67th anniversary issue in October 2021. We are accepting landscape photographs of our vibrant shops, monuments, unique statues, waterways, parks, and residences all bathed in the spectacular light that fills our city, day or night.
Judges: Philip Bermingham – Photographer, Tony Powell – Photographer, Jeff Malet – Photographer, and Laura Paterson – Head of Photography at Bonhams.
Guidelines
- We are not accepting photographs of people, only of places and things that exemplify Washington, D.C., and especially Georgetown
- Participants can submit up to 3 photographs
- The Top 5 contestants will be featured in the October 13, 2021 issue
- Staff photographers are not eligible to participate in the contest
- Recent photos preferred, however no time limitation
- By submitting images, you agree that: the images are your own work, you own all rights to the images, and take full responsibility for the content of the images
- You retain the copyright to your work but grant The Georgetowner perpetual permission to print and publish the images
