Step Afrika’s Magical Musical Holiday Step Show
The area’s first professional company dedicated to stepping puts on a holiday show at Arena Stage beginning tomorrow. The family-friendly show combines stomping, stepping and clapping along with percussive dance. Furry friends and a dance party hosted by DJ Nutcracker will be part of the festivities too. Cathedral Choral Society Presents “Joy of Christmas”
Visit the Washington National Cathedral Saturday or Sunday for a Christmas extravaganza of voices, drums and trumpets proclaiming the joy of the holiday season. The annual traditional performance will be held Saturday at 2 and 6 p.m. and Sunday at 4 p.m. More on tickets can be found here.

Washington Performing Arts Presents “Season of Hope” with the United States Air Force Band
The event at DAR Constitution Hall also features the Washington Performing Arts’ Children of the Gospel Choir. Take the whole family to this festive event, as kids of all ages are welcome to join Santa and Mrs. Claus on stage for a special holiday singalong. The Washington Bach Consort Brings “The Christmas Story” and “Bach’s Christmas Oratorio” to Stage
The holiday season’s musical festivities continue at The Music Center at Strathmore Saturday at 7 p.m. Bach’s classic musical narration of the Nativity is performed by vocalists Elijah McCormack, Kristen Dubenion-Smith, Jacob Perry, Jr. and Enrico Lagasca. Washington Revels Presents the 40th Annual “Christmas Revels”
Beginning Saturday through December 18, join the Washington Revels for their mash-up of Scottish, Irish, German, Appalachian and African American musical influences. The holiday-themed performance features Byron Thomas on banjo, The Highland Pipes and the Washington Revels Brass, Whiskey Before Breakfast Band. More information on tickets can be found here.

NSO’s ‘A Holiday Pops’ with Laura Benanti
The holiday celebration is back with singalongs, carols and Tony Award-winner Laura Benanti. Benanti will be singing festive favorites like “Jingle Bell Rock,” “Santa Baby,” “I’ll be Home for Christmas” and more. More information on how to get tickets can be found here.

Heurich House Museum’s 10th Annual Christmas Market Returns
This weekend, enjoy a German-style craft market from the Heurich House Museum’s garden up New Hampshire Ave. NW toward Dupont Circle. The market features nearly 50 local artisans and a mini exhibit about the museum’s historic revival of the Christian Heurich Brewing Co.’s Senate Beer. If you need to shop without any distractions, there will be free children’s ornament making too! Also, here’s something to celebrate: this year, the Heurich Christmas Market’s biggest group of vendors is the most diverse: 47 percent self-identified as being a part of an underrepresented community and 84 percent identify as a woman.
