Holiday festivities are now officially in full swing! The first weekend in December promises to not disappoint, with plenty of holiday concerts, Georgetown Jingle, The Wharf’s 33rd annual holiday boat parade and if you feel like taking a day trip, Christmas in Middleburg begins Saturday. Georgetown Jingle Is This Saturday

Saturday from 1-4 p.m., don’t miss Georgetown Jingle, the second annual holiday music event throughout Georgetown. There will be 15 live music performances at 11 outdoor locations in Georgetown. Artists will be performing all your festive favorites and over 45 shops and restaurants will be offering special discounts and refreshments. More information can be found here.
Breakfast With Santa at Volta Park on Saturday Morning
The Friends of Volta Park invite you to visit with Santa on Saturday, Dec. 6, 10 a.m. to noon — and take family photos (tickets $20). There will be Mama’s Donut Truck, hot cocoa and coffee, holiday crafts and reindeer cart races, along with a live DJ. Use the park entrance at 34th and Q streets in Georgetown.
Rose Park’s Holiday Market Is Saturday Afternoon

The Rose Park Holiday Market is this Saturday from 1 to 4 p.m. Kids, canines and Santa himself are all set to attend. More information on the event can be found here.
The Second Story to Host “A Holiday Drop”

Rebecca Coleman, founder of Fully Styled Studios and the new curated consignment and vintage store The Second Story, will be hosting a holiday drop this weekend at 3207 M St. NW. Christmas in Middleburg Begins This Weekend

Located in Virginia’s historic horse country, Middleburg’s annual “Christmas in Middleburg” is straight out of a Hallmark holiday movie. Beginning at 8 a.m. Saturday with Breakfast with Santa, there is also a silent auction at the Middleburg Community Charter School and opportunities for photos with the jolly man in red. The Wharf Celebrates 33 Years of Its Holiday Boat Parade

The Wharf’s 33rd Annual Holiday Boat Parade and Party is back again for another year on Saturday. Expect to see over 60 boats lit up with twinkling festive lights sailing up the Washington Channel, fireworks over the water and lots of free family activities. There will be a 45-foot nautical-inspired Christmas tree, life-sized joy sign and plenty of large toy soldiers for photo ops too. More information can be found here.
The Folger’s Annual Holiday Concert Series “Resplendent Joy” Returns Friday

Folger Consort will be performing Spanish Christmas carols circa the 16th and 17th centuries, as well as traditional Spanish and Portugese holiday music during a concert series called “Resplendent Joy: Christmas Traditions from Spain and Portugal.” The concert will be performed this Friday through December 14 at the Folger Shakepeare Library’s Elizabeth-styled theater. The Lodge at National Landing is Back for More Holiday Fun
A ski-inspired winter festival launches Saturday from 1-7 p.m. at Metropolitan Park in National Landing. Expect to see returning favorites like the peppermint mocha latte competition, a dog holiday sweater contest and more. Adults ages 21+ are welcome to stay for “The Lodge After Dark,” which will include karaoke and festive cocktails. More information can be found here.
See Dave Koz and Friends at The Music Center at Strathmore

Musician Dave Koz returns to Strathmore with guests Haley Reinhart, Casey Abrams and Kayla Waters this evening for an 8 p.m. show. This year marks the 28th anniversary edition of the longest-running jazz-based holiday tour. More information on last-minute tickets can be found here.
The Kennedy Center Hosts the FIFA World Cup Final Draw Friday

The FIFA World Cup 26™ Final Draw will be Friday at noon at The Kennedy Center. The draw will be live and beamed around the world via FIFA Media Partners. IN Series First Fully Commissioned Opera to Debut

The Delta King’s Blues will debut Saturday at Pop-Up Theater in Baltimore and run through December 21. The show is IN Series’ first fully commissioned opera. Dubbed an immersive musical journey, the opera was created by Baltimore artist and Cardwell Dawson Artist Fellow Jarrod Lee, with music by composer Damien Geter. Dumbarton Concerts Continues with A Celtic Christmas This Weekend

Warmth and holiday cheer are ready for Dumbarton Concerts’ “A Celtic Christmas,” running Saturday and Sunday at 4 p.m. The event will feature the Barnes and Hampton Celtic Consort and will be narrated by Robert Aubry Davis.
