Film critic Gerald Peary, who will be on hand, and producer Shaun Clancy started a journey years ago in search of the real personalities behind cartoonist Bob Montana’s iconic Archie Comics characters — Betty, Veronica, Jughead, Reggie, Moose, Miss Grundy and, of course, Archie himself. Their investigation yielded a vast array of photos, drawings, home movies and personal remembrances, assembled here into a tongue-in-cheek cinémemoir and revealing portrait of one of America’s midcentury graphic icons.
