Santa Stops By Wisconsin & P, Delights Young and Old (photos)

As if he wasn’t busy enough, Santa Claus took the time to hear late-minute Christmas wishes Dec. 24 in front of the former Marvelous Market and Neam’s Market. Children and parents and passersby kept coming at twilight — and then a bagpiper and drummer arrived to complete the scene.

It was the second annual Meet Santa, put on by the businesses along Georgetown Row — and, yes, that’s Ed Solomon, owner of Wedding Creations and Anthony’s Tuxedos, as Santa again.

As for the closed building and property at 3217 P St. NW, it’s for sale at $9.45 million by Marcus & Millichap’s Feldman Group.

Special thanks are in order for Nick and Carolyn Wasylczuk of Just Paper and Tea and Georgetown Business Association Vice President Hope Solomon, who decorated the outdoor Christmas tree, which was donated by Christine Warnke.
