On Saturday, March 24, hundreds of thousands of students and parents filled the streets of the nation’s capital — and other cities across the country and around the world — led by survivors of the Feb. 14 shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida.
Chanting “Never again” and “Vote them out,” kids and adults made passionate pleas for gun control, issuing a clear warning to politicians to pass meaningful legislation or face defeat at the ballot box.
The largest of these rallies took place along Pennsylvania Avenue in the shadow of the U.S. Capitol in Washington, D.C. Some congregated outside the White House.
