50 Years on, the ‘Dream Lives on’

In spite of Florence threatening parts of the Eastern Seaboard, it did not stop Congressional Black Caucus Foundation supporters from attending the 44th Annual Legislative Conference closing gala Sept. 15 at the Walter Washington Convention Center. Senators Cory Booker and Kamala Harris made history as the first two black senators to co-chair theconference. The evening’s theme, the “Dream Still Demands,” provided an uplifting atmosphere which permeated through the ballroom.
