Perhaps emcee Tim Shriver said it best: “CityDance DREAM Gala is Washington’s most hip, unconventional, and inspiring evening celebrating the gifts of world-class dancers . . . and the hope of a more artistically inspired and inclusive future.” The May 11 gala at the Lincoln Theatre raised close to $400,000 for CityDance DREAM, a program that provides tuition-free dance training, performance opportunities, academic services and college readiness to hundreds of students from underserved communities across D.C.

Gala chairs Patricia and Lloyd Howell.
