TIS Foundation, Serving the Underserved

Supporters gathered June 6 at the Marriott Marquis to celebrate the work of the TIS Foundation, whose mission is to support several D.C.-based organizations in disadvantaged communities. Co-founders Emmanuel Irono and his wife, Ogay, have been serving youth and families living in poverty in the U.S. and Africa since 1994. Rep. Karen Bass (D-Calif.) came to honor a long-time African advocate and educator, former Rep. Diane Watson, a highlight of the night’s festivities.
