Knock Out Abuse: Stand Up, Speak Out


Speakers at the 26th Annual Knock Out and Abuse Gala held at the Ritz Carlton Nov. 7 focused on awareness and speaking out on domestic violence incidences that occur every 15 seconds in the United States. The gala saluted KOA co-founder and President Cheryl Davis Masri. One of the evening’s honoree was 16-year-old high school student Abigail Scharf, who spoke of growing up in an abusive household. Another honoree, Tony Porter, was recognized for his efforts to prevent violence against women while promoting a healthy, respectful manhood.
