The Citizens Association of Georgetown will host a community meeting on homelessness on Wednesday evening, Jan. 22, at Grace Episcopal Church, 1041 Wisconsin Ave. NW. The program, from 7 to 8 p.m., will follow a reception at 6:30 p.m.
The guest speakers will be Lindsay Curtin of D.C. Council on Homelessness, Sean Read of Friendship Place and John Wiebenson of the Georgetown Business Improvement District.
Government policies and nonprofit efforts regarding homelessness — as well as the situation in Georgetown and the future of its primary homeless service nonprofit, Georgetown Ministry Center — will be discussed.
CAG asks participants, if possible, to “bring a new pair of warm gloves, hat or scarf to donate.”
