Ward 2 Community Budget Meeting, Feb. 25

District Council member Brooke Pinto is holding a virtual community budget meeting for Ward 2 this Thursday, Feb. 25, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. “Team Pinto” is inviting the public to attend the meeting. A flier states that it is “imperative that [Team Pinto] hears ideas, priorities and concerns regarding the fiscal year 2022.”
Each year, the Council and the mayor’s office pass the Local Budget Act and the Budget Support Act, according to a summary about the upcoming meeting provided by Pinto. Together, the measures will operate over a five-year period. On March 31, Mayor Muriel Bowser is planning to transmit her proposed Fiscal Year 2022 Budget & Financial Plan to the Council.
