A Vibrant Return Showcases NSO at the Kennedy Center

The National Symphony Orchestra and Music Director Gianandrea Noseda made a grand return to the Concert Hall at the Kennedy Center on Sept. 25 in celebration of resuming live performances. Concert attendees were treated to a tour-de-force fantasy of “Scheherazade,” where  every section of the orchestra was highlighted and delighted the audience. Kennedy Center Board Chair David Rubenstein greeted the audience and said that the National Symphony Orchestra has expanded its commitment to greater community engagement and the opening musical performance validated this vision. A pre-concert reception on the sunlit River Terrace preceded the concert. After the performance, dinner and dancing on the Rooftop Terrance awaited attendees.
