Crime Report, Nov. 29: Arrest for Armed Robbery Near Kennedy Center

•From the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD), here are the latest crime and police reports in or near Georgetown.
Nov. 29 – Attempted Robbery (Gun): In the 2100 block of Vermont Street NW. One suspect has been stopped.
Nov. 28 – Armed Robbery: In the 700 block of Lamont Street NW. MPD is on the lookout for a black male, thin build, wearing all black clothing, and carrying a handgun.
Nov. 28 – Shooting: In the 2400 block of Calvert Street NW. No suspect description is available at this time.
Nov. 27 – Stabbing Investigation: Incident occurred at 7:28 p.m. in the 1400 block of Otis Place NW. No suspect description is available at this time.
Nov. 27 – Arrest Made in an Armed Robbery (Knife) Offense: Incident occurred in the 2200 Block of Virginia Ave., NW. At 9:40 p.m., Oct. 17, 2020, suspects approached victim brandishing knives and demanding victim’s property. Victim complied and suspects fled scene. Additional details can be seen here.
Nov. 26 – Burglary: MPD is on the lookout for two suspects and a vehicle involved in an incident in the 4500 block of Wisconsin Ave. NW. Additional details and surveillance photos of the suspects can be seen here.
Nov. 26 – Burglary Arrest Made and Additional Suspects Still at Large: Incident occurred in the 4200 block of Lenore Place NW. Additional details and surveillance photos of the remaining suspects can be seen here.
Nov. 26 – Assault with an Attempt to Rob While Armed (Knife): On Nov. 14 in the 600 block of F Street NW. Recently released surveillance photos can be seen here.
Nov. 26 – Shooting Investigation: Underway for an incident that occurred in the 1300 block of Columbia Road NW.
Nov. 25 – Robbery Investigation: Underway for an incident in the 1300 block of U Street NW. MPD is on the lookout for four black males wearing hoodies, armed, driving a white Toyota Camry with Maryland Tags, black roof, and black spoiler.
Nov. 25 – Robbery Investigation: Underway for an incident at Fifth and L Streets NW. MPD is on the lookout for a black male, 5’10”, and wearing a black sweatshirt.

Nov. 24 – Homicide Arrest: Incident occurred on March 13 in the 600 block of O Street NW. Additional details on the arrest can be seen here.
Nov. 24 – Assault on a Police Officer and Theft: In the 800 block of Seventh Street NW.
Nov. 24 – Stabbing Investigation: Underway for an incident in the 4100 block of Georgia Avenue NW. MPD is on the lookout for a black male, 5’2”, wearing a dark colored hoodie.
Nov. 24 – Burglary: On Nov. 12 in the 1600 block of P Street NW. Recently released video surveillance footage can be seen here.
Nov. 24 – Robbery Investigation: Underway for an incident in the 1900 block of Wyoming Ave. NW. MPD is on the lookout for two young black males, both were wearing black jackets and tan khaki pants.
Nov. 23 – Sexual Abuse: Incident occurred on Nov. 21 in the 1100 block of Park Road NW. Additional details and recently released video surveillance footage of the suspect can be seen here.
Nov. 23 – Homicide Arrest Made: Incident occurred on June 29 in the 1400 block of R Street NW. Additional details on the arrest can be seen here.

Nov. 23 – Robbery Investigation: Incident occurred in the 6500 block of Piney Branch Road NW. MPD is on the lookout for a black male wearing a dark colored hooded jacket, light blue jeans, and black and white sneakers.

Nov. 23 – Armed Robbery (Gun) Arrests Made: Incident occurred on Nov. 22 in the 2400 block of Calvert Street NW. Additional details on the arrest can be seen here.
Nov. 22 – Burglary: A Georgetown University student reported that an unidentified person gained entry into their secured residence and stole personal property. The student resides on campus at Arrupe Hall located at 1575 Tondorf Road.
