Embassy Social Secretaries, Cultural Attachés Fêted at Meridian House

On an unusually steamy July 20 evening, Meridian International Center hosted a reception honoring embassy social secretaries and cultural attachés. The quite elegant gathering had the pleasure of hearing remarks by White House Social Secretary Carlos Elizondo.

Stuart Holliday, Meridian CEO, welcomed attendees to the tenth annual event and said to the social secretaries “You actually do diplomacy in the most effective way,” as “arbiters of a lot of decisions” and “the bridge between embassies and Meridian.”

Honored guest Carlos Elizondo championed support for global diplomacy. He listed numerable events under the Biden administration supporting global diplomacy.

In the belief that the United States is stronger and the world is safer when leaders collaborate across countries and cultures, Meridian strengthens engagement between the United States and the world through diplomacy, leadership and culture to solve shared global challenges.
