The beloved outdoor market continues to support small businesses and entrepreneurs across the region, welcoming shoppers for a safe, secure and enhanced shopping experience in the heart of the District this year.

Nov. 22, Nov. 29, Dec. 6, 11:oo a.m. – 12:30 p.m. — Art and Vision with Nick Cruz Velleman, Georgetown Neighborhood Library, Meeting Room, 3260 R Street NW. Each week, we will have a series of activities which will help you relax the mind, develop your skills, and tap into your creativity.

Nov. 22, 4-5:00 p.m., Three Sisters Celebration — Native American Heritage Month, Georgetown Neighborhood Library, Meeting Room, 3260 R Street NW. Come learn about the 1000 year-old indigenous planting method of the Three Sisters, which includes corn, beans, and squash. This activity includes a fun craft using dried corn, beans, & squash seeds!

Nov. 26, 12:00 a.m. – 11:59 p.m. – Georgetown Small Business Saturday, Georgetown Commercial District. Celebrate Small Business Saturday and “shop small” in Georgetown with in-store promotions, giveaways, discounts and more at 35-plus participating businesses. Dec. 8, 6-7:00 p.m. — Glow Flow Fitness Classes, 2904 M St. NW.  Join the Georgetown BID for a fun-filled evening of glow-in-the-dark fitness and fun, featuring Pilates and yoga classes taught by local studio instructors.

Dec. 9, 5-9:00 p.m. — Grace Street Bonfire & Block Party, Grace Street Lot, 1044 Wisconsin Ave. NW.  Stop by the lot at 1044 Wisconsin Ave NW and enjoy free food, drinks and treats from nearby restaurants and bakeries, live music, and a cozy fire to make s’mores.

Dec. 9, 5-10:00 p.m. — Georgetown GLOW Shopping Night, Georgetown Commercial District.  More than 25 of Georgetown’s restaurants, retail shops, and hotels are staying open late on Dec. 9 and offering promotions and events as part of a special Georgetown GLOW Shopping Night. Check out the five outdoor light art installations throughout Georgetown, then shop and dine around town.

Dec. 10, 12- 3:00 p.m. – Georgetown Cookie Tour, Georgetown Main Street (GMS), Wisconsin Ave. corridor. GMS will partner with local bakeries and small retailers to encourage a “tour” of Georgetown. Attendees can visit 12 small, locally-owned businesses to build their own box of unique cookies while shopping for holiday gifts. For more info see Georgetownmainstreet.com
