Luxury abounds in this month’s Auction Block. An Italian table sold at Christie’s for over $1 million, Bonhams sold a painting for more than five times its estimate and fine jewelry sold for thousands at Hindman and Doyle.

Italian Ormolu, White Marble and Semi-Precious Hardstone-Inlaid Center Table

This magnificent Italian center table has a marble top attributed to Giacomo Raffaelli, Rome or Milan, circa 1800-1810. It includes semi-precious hardstones like amethyst, Sicilian and Corsican jasper and more, arranged in a lozenge pattern around a central oval panel of German agate. The intricate design is supported by a base possibly be Francesco Righetti of Rome circa 1770-1775.
Bonhams Skinner
Estimate: $30,000-$50,000
Sold for: $176,775
Artist John Koch spent several years in the late 1920s and early 1930s living in Paris. There he socialized with avant-garde artists and writers like Andre Malraux and Jean Cocteau. He copied Old Master works in the Louvre and exhibited at local salons. Despite some attempts at incorporating Surrealist themes into his works, he ultimately didn’t move away from Realism.

These gorgeous earrings contain two pear-shaped emeralds accompanying six baguette cut and 28 round brilliant cut diamonds weighing approximately .60 carats. The earrings are mounted in yellow gold and part of a Luxury Jewels auction.

White, Gold, Sapphire and Diamond Fringe Necklace

Part of a fine jewelry and luxe handbags auction, this spectacular necklace was part of the estate of a prominent Beverly Hills family. Nine pear-shaped sapphires and 734 round diamonds measuring 18.65 carats make up this spectacular piece.
