The Citizens Association of Georgetown hosted Concerts in the Park on Sunday, April 23, at Rose Park, 26th & P Streets, along with the Friends of Rose Park.
In honor of Earth Day, volunteers helped with a park cleanup and in other spots in Georgetown before the 3 p.m. kickoff of music, food and fun.
The live music was provided by the danceable Soul Crackers. The was a pizza food truck, popcorn, kids’ crafts and a Casey & Company spring plant sale. And before that, a half hour of family yoga with the new business on Wisconsin Avenue, Alkova.
And let’s not forget the Metropolitan Police Department showing off their cruiser and motorcycle for the children.
Sponsors included MRP Realty/Washington Harbour, Washington Fine Properties, Nancy Taylor Bubes & Liz D’Angio.
And, yes, even some of the dads were dancing to high-energy, eight-member band.
