The Four Seasons Coronation Tea Fit for a King
At The Four Seasons on May 6 from 11:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. in Seasons Restaurant, enjoy a special tea celebrating King Charles III. The hotel will have a four-piece string quartet playing for the elevated version of their afternoon tea. Coronation specials will include King Charles’ official coronation quiche and Queen Elizabeth’s coronation chicken sandwich. Bottomless bubbly will be served, of course. The Fairmont’s Coronation Garden Party and Cake
The magnificent coronation cake at The Fairmont Hotel is on display now through May 6. Don’t miss the spectacular seven-tiered fruitcake designed by Executive Pastry Chef Claus Olsen. It even includes a replica of the Sovereign Orb made of edible gold. While you’re checking out the cake, the hotel is featuring a coronation-themed menu available through May 6 in the lobby, loggia and courtyard bar. Expect British favorites like Pimms Cups, gin and tonics, fish and chips, grilled lamb chops and steak and kidney pie. Don’t miss the big May 6 Coronation Garden Party too! Beginning at 9:30 a.m. on May 6, the hotel’s courtyard will be transformed with a Scottish bagpiper, champagne sabering and the cutting of the coronation cake. Celebrate King Charles III at the Hillwood Estates, Museum and Gardens
Coronation tea is available at the Hillwood Estates, Museum and Gardens from May 5 through 31. Merriweather Café, located on the premises, will be serving assorted finger sandwiches, scones, teas and pastries. The tea is available for groups of four or more and cancellations must be made 72 hours in advance. Tickets are $38 per person with additional supplements available a la carté. Limited Edition Royal Afternoon Tea at The St. Regis
The St. Regis is offering a special tea from May 4 through the 7th to honor King Charles III on his momentous occasion. Enjoy British favorites like an English summer tartlet with strawberry shortcake sponge and strawberry mousse and St. Edwards’ crown chocolate bonbon with Earl grey and chocolate ganache. Stop by the British Embassy
The British Embassy is hosting a sidewalk celebration in honor of the coronation. It will be outside the ambassador’s residence Saturday as part of the Around the World Embassy Tour.
