Lined Up to Meet Santa at Volta Park

The Friends of Volta Park hosted its Breakfast With Santa event on Saturday morning, Dec. 10, and welcomed more than 300 neighbors to the park, all of whom were hoping to grab some face time with jolly old Saint Nick. The waiting line snaked back to the entrance of the basketball court.

The annual event, chaired by Friends of Volta Park board members Liz D’Angio and Alison Garback, featured a craft table to make snow globes, a letter writing table for those wanting to jot down a note to Santa Claus, a doughnut truck, a bracelet table featuring bracelets from SunsetBeadedXO, hot chocolate, coffee, Christmas music and an opportunity for a picture with the big man himself. Washington Fine Properties collected coats for those in need.

With such a fun crowd, Santa Claus (aka Tom Strike) noted that everyone in attendance was on his nice list.
