Washington Commanders Fans Miserable, According to Study


For many, the most wonderful time of the year has begun. No, it’s not quite time for ghosts and goblins, sleigh bells or snow. It’s football season. The preseason begins this evening, with two games (Lions vs. Giants and Panthers vs. Patriots. While the Washington Commanders don’t play until Saturday at 12 noon vs. the Jets, fans of the team are feeling downright miserable these days.

According to a recent study from Casino.org,  the Commanders have the second most miserable fans in the National Football League (NFL). Their unhappiness score ranked 97.61/100. Commanders fans also rank fourth most miserable out of 124 across every major professional sports league, including Major League Baseball, National Basketball Association and National Hockey League.

As far as the Super Bowl, over 75 percent of Commanders fans think the team doesn’t have a chance to make it to the big game. Just over 70 percent find game day costs like tickets, merch and food and drinks too pricey.
