Virtual Meeting: Southern Ave. SE Project 
Tuesday, Sept. 17 

The District Department of Transportation will host a public virtual meeting from 6:30 to 8 p.m. to discuss plans to redesign Southern Avenue SE between South Capitol Street and Barnaby Road SE. Visit ddot.dc.gov to learn more about the proposed renovations and join the meeting. 

Financial Markets Quality Conference 
Tuesday, Sept. 17

CAG Celebration of Georgetown 
Friday, Sept. 20     

Celebrate Georgetown and The Georgetowner’s 70th anniversary at the Citizens Association of Georgetown’s Annual Fundraiser, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Coolidge House at Quality Hill, 3425 Prospect St. NW. Public Safety Job Fair at D.C. Armory
Friday, Sept. 20 

The Metropolitan Police Department is hosting a D.C. Agency Public Safety Job Fair from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the D.C. Armory, 2001 E. Capitol St. SE. Attendees can network with representatives from MPD, Fire and EMS, the Department of Corrections, the Department of Youth Rehabilitation Services and the Office of Human Rights, among other agencies. Georgetown Art All Night 
Friday, Sept. 27

ANC 2E Monthly Meeting
Monday, Sept. 30 

Advisory Neighborhood Commission 2E, representing Georgetown, Burleith and Hillandale, will convene at 6:30 p.m. at Georgetown Visitation School, 1524 35th St. NW, and via Zoom. The agenda will be available seven days prior. Visit anc.dc.gov. 

Concert and Block Captain Event at Volta Park
Sunday, Oct. 6 

Residents can connect with the Citizens Association of Georgetown’s block captain network and enjoy live music, food trucks and children’s programming from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Volta Park Baseball Field, 1555 34th St NW.   

Carpe Librum Pop-Up Bookstore
Sunday, Oct. 6 

Thousands of books, CDs, DVDs and vinyl records priced under $6 will be offered from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Chase Bank parking lot on the corner of Wisconsin Avenue and P Street in Georgetown. Proceeds benefit Turning the Page DC. Visit turningthepage.org. 

Coffee With A Cop on K St.
Tuesday, Oct. 15    

The Metropolitan Police Department and Grace Street Coffee Roasters will host a meet-and-greet with police officers from noon to 1 p.m. at the café, 3299 K St. NW, Suite 102. The event is free and open to the public.
