Interested in book reviewing? Join local authors, critics, editors, and literary community members February 22-26, 2022 for Day Eight’s annual arts journalism conference, this year focused on the topic of Book Review. The conference includes free workshops, panels, and two keynote sessions. Keynote speakers include Joyce Carol Oates, E. Ethelbert Miller, Gwydion Suilebhan, Russell Jacoby, Teri Ellen Cross Davis, Marita Golden, Jennifer Harlan, and Brian Broome and workshop teachers will include Stephanie Merry (Washington Post), Ron Charles (Washington Post), and Holly Smith (The Washington Independent Review of Books). The conference is produced in partnership with The DC Line, The Washington Independent Review of Books, Alan Squire Publishing, Barrelhouse Press, Dryad Press, The Writers Center, Tagg Magazine, and through support from the DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities and HumanitiesDC.
