Throughout the month of June, the Embassy of Sweden will project images from Swedish photographer Helene Schmitz’s exhibition “Dreamland” on the glass facades of House of Sweden at the Georgetown Waterfront. The projection is part of the Focus on the Story International Photo Festival and is best seen at night, after sunset.
“Dreamland” is a photographic account of the extraction and depletion of natural resources, and consists of two photography series that examine human-induced changes in bedrock and forest in Sweden. The entire “Dreamland” exhibition—on display inside House of Sweden until December 2021—is open to the public on weekends, from 12:00-5:00pm (ET).
