The Glen Echo Park Partnership is pleased to present “Ingrained: Sculpture and Furniture in Wood.” This exhibition celebrates the ways wood as a medium lends itself to diverse interpretations as both sculptural and functional forms. Three artists bring their own perspectives as they explore the beauty of wood. Alex Kasten’s wall-hung and sculptural forms explore transformation and reinvention, while Davrill Nash’s furniture lends a simple elegance to wooden forms. Lynda Smith-Bugge’s sculptures reveal interior strength, spirit and timelessness, emerging from their rough-hewn original exteriors.
Opening reception, Saturday, January 12, 4 to 6pm
