The Lorton Art Program exhibition and sale, featuring drawings and paintings by current and former residents of DC Department of Corrections facilities, will be held May 19th from 5 to 8pm. Founded in 1975, the Lorton Art Program is a non-profit organization that provides creative and rehabilitative education, training in visual arts, and exhibition opportunities to institutionalized individuals.
Admission is free. The show will run through June 7 and is available for viewing Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays from 10am-2pm, Wednesday evenings from 5-8pm, and by appointment.
